Born in 1973 in Esslingen am Neckar (Germany)

Philip Wohlfarth, together with Daniel Schneider, is one of the founders of Monoplan AG. He studied architecture at the University of Braunschweig – Institute of Technology (Technische Universität Braunschweig) in Germany and graduated in 2002 as Diplomingenieur (qualified engineer). For a few years he worked in communications and corporate architecture. In 2005, Philip Wohlfarth went freelance in Switzerland, and in 2008 founded the Monoplan office in Zurich together with Daniel Schneider.

His experience in architecture and communications has enabled him to integrate the disciplines of corporate architecture and communications architecture into the company.
As well as developing architecture and hospitality concepts, Philip Wohlfarth and his team have a successful track record in brand development for the hotel and property industry.

Daniel Schneider

Born in 1974 in Frankfurt am Main (Germany)

Daniel Schneider, together with Philip Wohlfarth, is one of the founders of Monoplan AG. He studied architecture at the University of Braunschweig – Institute of Technology (Technische Universität Braunschweig) in Germany and graduated in 2002 as Diplomingenieur (qualified engineer). He also studied Modern History, Business Economics and Political Sciences. From 2003, he worked as an architect and project developer in São Paulo and Zurich, and from 2006 as a freelance architect in Zurich. In 2008, he and Philip Wohlfarth founded Monoplan AG, with the idea of focussing on hotel and hospitality projects.

Daniel Schneider is a renowned expert within the Swiss and European hospitality and property industry. He shares his expertise through presentations and through his teaching activities at the Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule Heilbronn) as part of the Hotel Development & Real Estate study programme.

With his international team of architects, interior designers, graphic designers and product designers, he develops and executes new hotel concepts and successful property projects throughout the whole of Europe.

Moritz Rinne

Born 1974 in Hamburg (Germany), grew up in Mannheim

Moritz Rinne studied Architecture at the University of Braunschweig – Institute of Technology (Technische Universität Braunschweig) in Germany and graduated as Diplomingenieur (qualified engineer) in 2002. Afterwards, he spent two years in Sydney working on the challenges of urban density and housing projects. Following this, he worked at Grimshaw Architects in London and developed significant expertise in large-scale projects, predominately within the education sector.

Moritz has been active as an architect and a member of the Executive Board at Monoplan AG since 2009. He became a partner in 2016.

He has had substantial involvement in a number of groundbreaking projects. These include Hotel Atlantis in Zurich, which he led as project manager, as well as the projects on Bürgenstock mountain, Motel One Basel, and the luxury hotels Europe and Dunloe in Ireland.

Moritz considers himself to be a generalist who would like to get to the heart of every aspect of an architectural project – from the initial concept to the launch day. He manages the office in Zurich and supports a multitude of projects, which he always approaches from different perspectives and from different scales.
