JOYN Hotel & Serviced Apartments

By 2020, the building works on one of the last remaining vacant sites of the “Glattpark” construction project in Opfikon (area right next to Zurich) will be completed. Monoplan is responsible for the planning of the new building that is taking shape, owned by provider JOYN Serviced Living. As well as 343 apartments and 104 rooms, there will be two bars, a gym and a restaurant with seating in the courtyard. A glass groove in the façade will accentuate the entrance area, the vertical access facilities and the top-floor bar with access to a roof terrace. An interior, circular corridor provides access to the rooms and apartments.

There will be 16 different types of accommodation, starting with a simple hotel room at around 20–23 m² with an integrated kitchenette, stretching all the way through to fully accessible apartments with around 43 m². The interior design and service aspect will create an ambience that appeals specifically to guests staying for longer periods in the city, and will make them feel at home. In addition to the excellent public transport links, there will be 73 new parking spaces in the underground car park.
The excavation works began in March 2019.
